Merlin Robotics

Merlin Systems Corp. Ltd was formed in 1998 with the mission of creating the next generation of Service Robots (robots useful to people) around a vision of Humaniform (Human-In-Form - human inspired) robotics. Since this time the company has introduced a wide variety of innovative new products e.g. Merlin Air Valve, Humaniform Air Muscle, Merlin Stretch Sensor as well as many other technologies. (see the Projects page for some recent examples)
Merlin Robotics (www.merlinrobotics.co.uk) introduced a high performance range of mobile robots for research and education applications including Robot Football (FIRA) or Robot Soccer(RoboCup). The Miabot Pro is the most advanced miniature mobile robot platform for desktop research and has an extensive list of add-on sensors and modules (e.g. omni-directional sonar, grippers, compass, vision).
The Merlin Team has become adept at combining our experience of software, electronics and robotics to provide bespoke and custom robotic installations which include vision based localisation and autonomous robots.
