MAV Proportional Air Valve

The Merlin MAV Proportional Air Valve (or 'SMART valve) is a miniature, electrically-operated proportional air valve.

It provides precise control of airflow, with the following basic features --
- simple 2-port construction
- proportional control action
- electrically controlled
- low power
- small size and weight
- low cost
The valve has the following main design features --
- inlet via M8 screw-thread (with optional o-ring face seal)
- outlet compatible to 6mm airline coupling
- current controlled, approx 1A max
- pressures up to 10bar
- flowrates steady from zero up to 20 slpm
Two inlet adaption options are available separately -an R1/8 thread converter, and a 4mm airline adapter.

Notes
These are the valves are used in our air muscles - Leaky Muscle and Dual Valve Muscle.
Multiple valve installations (up to several hundred) can be controlled using the purpose-designed Merlin MDB Muscle Controller.
