Merlin Autonomous Mobile Robots - MiabotPRO Mobile Robot Platform

Right from the beginning, we recognised that 'high performance miniature mobile robots' were a key enabling technology for many active areas of robotics research. We developed the Merlin MiabotPRO platform to meet these needs. 

The Merlin Robotics MiabotPRO platform was launched in 2003 and has been continuously enhanced and developed to offer a complete 'research package' - easy to use and operate with any major language platform (c,c++,c#,VB,Labview etc). It features an extensive onboard API, allowing it to communicate with a wide range of existing peripherals and in addition, features an integrated fully tuneable onboard PID controller.

We supply the Merlin MiabotPRO as a research kit, as part of a complete robot football package or as part of a complete bespoke package e.g. a complete swarm lab! Follow these links to view the products in more detail:

Custom made to your requirements and budget, the system features the renowned Merlin Robotics MiabotPRO Mirosot Robot. Typically offered in 3 , 5, 7 or 11-a-side format the system can be used to demonstrate an autonomous 'robot soccer / robot football game' or be played interactively using joysticks to enthuse your audience or group of students. 

With a host of add-on extras and enough robots to illustrate different experiments, the system offers you complete flexibility. Since its initial launch, the MiabotPRO has become a hit worldwide and is used in research, education, manufacturing, service industries and beyond.  

 

Robot tracking systems

Merlin Robotics provide advanced single or multi-camera overhead tracking systems (MOTS) which are commonly used for Robot Football or Robot Labs to localise large numbers of mobile robots. We have also developed a platform for tracking autonomous mobile robots remotely (across the internet) using the most basic sensors (very low cost).

We offer 'bespoke' robotic solutions from initial design through to manufacture and implementation - a leading UK company exporting worldwide. Below are some recent case studies:
